What is Gesture and what makes it unique?

Gesture is a pendant lamp designed around a simple idea: to create a welcoming gesture of light. A slender vertical form directs light downwards into the acrylic shade, where it is softly diffused to create a warm, indirect glow around the lamp — using reflected and diffused light rather than exposing the light source directly.

What sizes does Gesture come in?

Gesture is available in two lengths: Gesture short (2.2 × 44.2 cm / 0.8 × 17.4″) and Gesture tall (2.2 × 65.5 cm / 0.8 × 25.8″).

What is Gesture made from?

Gesture is made from a combination of aluminium, acrylic and steel. The precise metal structure paired with translucent acrylic gives it a light, almost weightless appearance.

Does Gesture come with a light bulb?

No, a bulb is not included. We recommend pairing Gesture with the Little Idea bulb (item no. 4285) from UMAGE, sold separately.

What type of bulb does Gesture require?

Gesture requires 1 × GY6.35, 12V DC bulb, with a maximum of 6W LED. The recommended Little Idea bulb is a 3W LED with an F energy class.

Can Gesture be used with track lighting?

Yes. Gesture is designed to work with both rosette mounting and track lighting systems, making it flexible to install in different types of spaces.

How long does it take to assemble?

Assembly takes approximately 10 minutes.

How do I clean Gesture?

Clean with a soft, dry cloth. If necessary, use a soft cloth dampened with water and a small amount of mild soap, then wipe dry. Always switch off the electricity before cleaning, and avoid abrasive cleaners, solvents or harsh chemicals.

Can Gesture be used outdoors?

No, Gesture is designed for indoor use only. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and do not install it in damp environments, outdoors, directly above radiators or other heat sources, or close to fireplaces, stoves or open flames.
